George & Joan Bubaris

Driven by his entrepreneurial spirit, George took over Parthenon Framing in 2015, jumping into the art scene with the goal of reinventing the custom framing space. He brought his wife of 35 years along for the ride. George and Joan take pride in their work, the people they employ, and the clients they serve. As former restauranteurs, they are no strangers to hard work.

George’s background in business, combined with his unstoppable work ethic, has taken Parthenon to the next level. George is a hands-on leader who works closely with his team to create unique frames for priceless works of art. he’s also known for coining the term “framergency.” No matter the project, no matter the deadline, George will take it on, get it done, and crack a joke upon drop off.

Joan’s three decades as a financial planner bring a unique perspective to Parthenon Framing as the business seeks to expand. Towards the end of 2020, Parthenon launched its printing division, making them a one-stop-shop for clients. Joan also plans to utilize the resources of Parthenon to contribute to local causes and the Long Island community at large. Parthenon recently launched a partnership with One Tree Planted©, a 501(c)3, a charity with the mission to help global re-forestation efforts.

Lorelei Olk

Framing Consultant

Lorelei joined Parthenon at the height of the pandemic, having found a place that allows her to flex her creative muscles in a fast-paced environment. In 2017, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in studio art. This allowed her to gain experience in a wide breadth of fine art media. As an artist herself, she understands that the right frame can elevate any treasured memento into something special. Loerelei says finding the perfect fit is her favorite part of being a member of the Parthenon team.
